What Sub-Zero makes, and what we fix
Sub-Zero is a refrigeration brand. It does not make ovens, washers or dishwashers. We repair these Sub-Zero units:
- Built-in and column refrigerators and freezers
- Undercounter refrigerators and drawers
- Wine storage units
- Ice makers, both built into the fridge and stand-alone undercounter models
Why built-in units need extra care
Most Sub-Zero units are built into the kitchen. Many wear custom panels that match your cabinets. They sit tight in their openings, and the top grille often hides the parts we need to reach.
We work slowly and protect the floor and the cabinet faces around the unit. We only pull a unit out when the repair truly needs it. When we do, we take our time and set it back level and square.
We want to be honest: we are not factory certified by Sub-Zero. We are a licensed and insured independent company with 10+ years of experience.
Signs your Sub-Zero needs attention
- The fresh food side is warmer than normal.
- The freezer has frost on the walls or food is softening.
- Water collects under the crisper drawers or on the floor.
- The ice maker makes small cubes, no cubes, or stops.
- The wine unit can't hold its set temperature.
- The unit runs all the time, or you hear a new rattle or hum.
Florida humidity and built-in refrigeration
In our hot, damp climate, warm air rushes in each time a door opens. That moisture can turn into frost or sweat. A door gasket (the rubber seal) that has flattened or torn lets in even more.
Top-mounted parts on built-in units also need air to move freely. Dust on the grille can make the system work harder in summer.
Keep food safe during an outage
Hurricane season can bring long power outages. The USDA says a fridge keeps food cold for about 4 hours if the door stays closed. A full freezer holds about 2 days, and a half-full one about 1 day. Keep a thermometer inside: 40 °F or lower in the fridge, 0 °F or lower in the freezer.

We don't list Sub-Zero codes on this page. Please tell us the code shown on your display when you book.
Before you call
Switch off the breaker before checking anything electric. Make sure each door closes fully and nothing blocks it. Check that the water valve to the ice maker is open. Please don't remove the top grille or panels yourself.
What to tell us when you book
The model and serial label on a Sub-Zero is often behind the top grille or inside on a wall. If you can't see it easily, just tell us the type of unit and how it is installed. We tell you the visit price on the phone before we come.
