Bosch appliances we service
Bosch is best known here for its dishwashers, but the brand makes more than that. We repair Bosch:
- Dishwashers
- Cooking appliances: ranges and wall ovens and cooktops
- Refrigerators
- Laundry: washers and dryers
Bosch dishwasher trouble, in plain words
Most of our Bosch calls are about dishwashers. People tell us things like:
- Water sits in the bottom after the cycle ends.
- The dishwasher won't start, or it stops with a code.
- Dishes come out dirty or gritty.
- There is a leak, or the unit stops and shows a water warning.
Much of the local water comes from the Floridan Aquifer. Mineral scale (a hard, chalky buildup) can form inside dishwashers over time. It can slow drains and spray arms.
Two Bosch codes to know
Bosch explains these codes on its own support pages.
E24 – not draining. Bosch says the drain filter or drain hose may be blocked. It also says that if the dishwasher was just hooked up to a garbage disposal, the disposal's knockout plug may not have been removed. (That plug is a small disc inside a new disposal that has to be knocked out.)
E15 – water in the base. Bosch says this means the safety switch has found water in the base of the dishwasher. The base is the tray under the tub. Water there means a leak somewhere, and we need to find it.
What you can safely try
Turn off the dishwasher's breaker first. Then pull out the filter at the bottom of the tub and rinse it under the tap. Look under the sink to make sure the drain hose isn't kinked. Put it all back and run a short cycle.
If E24 or E15 shows up again, stop there and call us. Please don't tip the dishwasher to drain the base, as that can hide the real leak.
Bosch ovens, cooktops, fridges and laundry
Bosch cooking appliances can lose heat, show a code, or have a burner that won't light or warm up. Bosch fridges can run warm or build frost. Bosch washers and dryers can stop draining or stop heating. If your Bosch range or cooktop uses gas and you smell gas, don't use switches. Leave the home and call the gas company or 911 from outside.
Getting ready for your visit
Bosch dishwashers usually have the model and serial label on the edge of the door or the side of the tub. On ovens, look around the door frame. On fridges, look inside on a wall. A photo of the label helps a lot.
We tell you the visit price on the phone before we come.
